When You Cry
                 (to Craig)

When you cry, it sounds so tragic,
But then my kisses work like magic
From your view, the world is ending
I see your broken heart needs mending
What thrust you into great despair
I'll make dissolve into thin air
I will because I love you so
'Tis why I write, to let you know

Never doubt my heart's intent
Though into space your wants were sent
When your requests were made in vain
Your reddened face was filled with pain
It's so important, yes, I know
For your intentions clearly show
Though thwarted plans invoke your sorrow,
We'll run and jump and play tomorrow!

Now if you ran into a wall
Or bumped your head or took a fall
If in full run you had to sneeze
And missed a step and scraped your knees,
For cuts and bumps of any size
When sudden tears spring from your eyes
In an instant Mom and Dad are there
To kiss your face and stroke your hair

For tears that come throughout each season
We're there no matter what the reason
If you've had an awful day
And things just wouldn't go your way,
Let us take away your pain
We want to see you laugh again
Hear gentle, loving words we say
Feel kisses chase your blues away!
